Upcoming Fundraising Event - St. James Episcopal Church Youth Group

Every summer my girls attend a Youth Group Workcamp trip that my church organizes.  Last year they went to Port Jervis, NJ and assisted homeowners with fixing items in their house or on their property that they either couldn't fix themselves or couldn't afford to hire someone to fix for them.  This year's trip is to Parma, Ohio and the youth group is currently raising funds to support the trip for themselves (approximately 20 kids) to take this trip. 


St. James Youth Group Workcamp Trip 2012 - Port Jervis, NJ

In order to assist the youth in raising funds, I will be running a Christmas Card Workshop Fundraiser.  The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, December 1 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon in the Undercroft of St. James Episcopal Church in Potomac, MD.  We will be making a total of 15 cards (5 cards each of 3 different designs) with envelopes and an adorable little tote to hold them (Originally designed by Lisa Stenz).  Once you send out your cards, you can use the tote as a gift bag for someone special.  The total cost of the workshop is $20 and all materials are precut and presorted for you.  Please contact me via email at ohscrapbym@gmail.com if you are interested and I will provide you with all the details.  If you are unable to attend, the kit will still be available for purchase.

Well Hellllllooooo There!

This is my first post, which I have found very difficult to write.  It is kind of weird since I feel like I am talking to the whole world but in reality there probably isn't anyone reading this as of yet!! LOL!  Just to tell you a little about myself.  I am a relatively new consultant with Close To My Heart.  I signed up last October after spending a weekend with some of the best people at a Scrapbooking Retreat in upstate New York.  I have never had so much fun crafting!  I met some of the most amazing, creative and talented people.  It opened me up to a whole new world of paper crafting and even more amazing, creative and talented people :).  I have done scrapbooking before but after this weekend, I had the ability and confidence to make my pages so much more than they ever were before.  Here is one of the pages I made when I was there with the help of one of their program books, Magic.  These books show you exactly how to make a page from start to finish.  The other thing I love is CTMH's paper, it all coordinates, which makes it so easy to put a page together.  I added their really cool flip flaps to be able to add extra pics to my page layout and BAM!, it is done!  LOVE!!!

It was so much fun and I am so thrilled that I made the decision to go to this weekend and that after this weekend, I decided to join such an amazing company.
